When Food,Clothing, and Shelter Isn’t Enough

Big ups for the parents that provide clothes, food, and shelter for their child (ren)!

It’s not always easy, yet you have shown commitment, honor and determination to your family. THANK YOU! But are you preparing them for life after high school? Do you know what your child may be interested in?  What might she/he study as an profession?

As a parent, you have the ability to help your children develop critical, advantageous skills for a lifetime!

Here’s the scene~ The family is sitting around the house. Dinner has been served and laundry is done. The children are playing outside. This happens day in and day out for many days. Nothing more nothing less. Child eventually graduates from high school. The family tell child to leave and be happy.

What Else Do YOU Need?

Parent: Sweetie, I’m so proud of you. Graduation is coming  up really soon. What will you do?

Child: I know. I haven’t given it much thought. I don’t know what I want to do. What do you think I should do? I haven’t seen anything I ever wanted to do.Maybe I could model,  rap, or something?  I do get lots of hits online.

Parent: Hmm, nope! I’m so sorry. I guess I haven’t  exposed you to many options and opportunities.

So what do kids need outside of the basic, food , clothing and shelter? Opportunities! Like this one….. Charlotte Youth Broadcasting  If you don’t  expose your child to different professions, skills, -positive experiences,  there is no way they will know what they like and dislike. Resulting in them taking longer to satisfy  their need for self sufficiency/self-actualization.

I’m gonna do you a favor and share with you what other families are saying about Charlotte Youth Broadcasting:

My  son Jordan has been to many camps and after a day or two, that was just another camp. Not the case after attending CYBC!! The CYB Camp allowed him to have a hands on experience at WBTV and WCCB. The video clips, photographs and the techniques that were used to enable him to be confident in front of a camera are priceless!

Jordan was able to go behind the scenes with the real folks, sit through a live taping of a 12 noon news at WBTV and walk their own RED CARPET, yes I said RED CARPET!!! Ms. Antriece made all of this and much more possible at this week long camp. Please sign up your kids to attend the Charlotte Youth Broadcasting Camp, it will change and spark a new fire in your child’s life!!! It did for my Jordan!”

Our Camp encourages campers ages 10-12 and ages 13-17 how to work with each other combining diversity, using broadcast media, technology, and engaging them with others in an increasingly broadcasting world. They will learn the basic media tools in a fun collaborative environment which provides our youth with the skills to utilize the media technologies in a positive and productive way. This camp is a great way to break the fear of public speaking and will teach campers how to articulate.

 Camp Cost: $300.00 per week w/Lunch & 2 snacks

Deposit $60.00 (non-refundable) to hold camper(s) weekly space. Remaining balance paid prior to or on the 1st day of camp, or pay the amount in full to hold camper(s) space.
