I have an amazing group of mom friends in Charlotte. We have children ages newborn to 22 years old. Each week we have activities like story
time, music, park play dates, holiday-themed parties, zoo field trips, and more! So when I have an opportunity to share fun times, I do it!
We were selected from thousands to host a Disney Side party. So in February, we hosted a Disney Side Valentines Day Party! Our babies were excited but I knew we moms had to come up with a plan B for space. So we secured a local venue….. for free! (See everyone loves DISNEY!)
It quickly became the buzz all throughout the city. We received so many requests for partnership but had to decline man of them because of budget and mom power restrictions. But we did accept two (2) invites. One from 20th Century Fox and the other from a local travel agency.
( What an honor, if I do say so myself)
It’s not everyday you get to share great times, with great culturally diversified folks, cute Disney theme costumes, incredible entertainment, and clean food, but we did just that. We included clean food! Yes, the venue had great food and Cassie Sweetz donated her vegan cup cakes and they were delicious! We used everything that came in our gift box:
including invitations, decorations, themed plates, cups, napkins and a tablecloth. A Mickey Mouse cake pan, Duff Goldman Tie Dye cake mix, sprinkes to create an amazing cake (we ended up getting my daghter to make cupcakes), plus all sorts of goodies to use and giveaway… nail polish and nail files, games, word searches, puzzles, HP photo paper packs, Twinings Tea, plus luggage tags, Disney vacation planning DVDs and More!
I have added a slide show below for you to see all of our little Disney friends that came dressed up, our fun Disney themed games, decor and yummy vegan treats!
(This could never be one of our parties..)
Although a lot went wrong. It was productive chaos. We had to switch venues the Day Before The Event and couldn’t bring in the DJ. That sucked HARD! Even Marisha, the travel agency lady was upset, because of the switch up, but the parents and children that stayed had a ball.
I was really looking forward to cutting the rug with my little ones to some Disney favorites, so we’re planning a summer party in the park! See it always works out!
Thinking back on this family party, I think it was the best family celebration we ever had other than our Total Children’s Wellness Fair. I can’t wait to do it again. Next time, I’m headed to Pinterest for explosive Disney inspiration!

Have a great week ya’ll!
